noun

the internal and subjective component of sense perceptions, arising from stimulation of the senses by phenomena.

TAQ Dance makes dance-theater works that explore existential questions and non-answers about the human experience. The works string together scenes from life and play with their context to reflect the world’s puzzling phenomena. We are interested in movement that embraces the elements of gravity, efficiency, release, effort, and hyper-muscularity. Sometimes this looks pedestrian, and other times like a dance routine. TAQ collaborators belong to a process of questioning and of confronting things gently, with rigor, from the body.

TAQ Dance invites all audiences to connect with our narratives.

We aim to bridge the gap between dance and non-dance audiences through universal themes, unconventional venues, and physical storytelling, fostering understanding and reflection on the human experience.
